Echo Hill Camp is a sleep-away summer camp for 150 children, ages 7-16, with a staff-to-camper ratio of 1:3. Our mature and dedicated counselors prioritize the health, safety, and individual needs of each camper, creating a nurturing environment where children can build self-confidence, gain respect for themselves and others, and foster lifelong friendships. Love and kindness are at the heart of Echo Hill Camp, making it a place where children can experience the inalienable right of youth: to be free, happy, and safe.
A Scenic Escape on the Chesapeake Bay
Nestled upon a bluff overlooking a long sandy beach on Maryland’s Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Echo Hill Camp is set on a picturesque 350-acre farm of sunny fields, woodlands, and marshes. This rustic haven offers a tranquil environment for campers, with most living in large platform tents. Despite its rural and sparsely populated location, the camp is within easy reach of Washington, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York City, providing a perfect balance of adventure and accessibility.

Echo Hill Camp provides an atmosphere where creativity and personal expression thrive. Campers are encouraged to explore new physical and artistic skills through a wide range of activities, guided by flexible, free-choice programming that caters to all skill levels. Our extensive activity list includes waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, tubing, arts and crafts, archery, adventure courses, gardening, and much more. The program’s non-competitive approach ensures a natural and joyful experience, helping campers develop self-confidence and create lasting memories.

To protect Echo Hill’s legacy of Quaker values, immersion into and appreciation of the natural environment, and a respite from materialism that teaches children to appreciate others not on the wealth of their possessions, but on the strength of their character.
