Evening Activities

As each day winds down, Evening Activity brings our whole camp together to laugh, connect, and create the experiences that make summer unforgettable. This is when our community comes together to share in a fun and unique experience where each Evening Activity is designed to spark joy, laughter, and connection.

One night might bring an epic camp-wide carnival with games and prizes. The next could be a fan-favorite “Open Mic Night,” where campers and counselors alike take the stage to showcase their talents. From our own unique spin on game shows like Coke Millionaire, Versus, and What Would You Do for a Coke, to creative challenges like Table Olympics and Newspaper Fashion, to Friday Night Dances where the whole camp lets loose—there’s always something new to experience.

Whether you’re cheering on your tentmates in a game show showdown or creating inside jokes that will last all summer, EA is where our camp family truly shines.

Explore the Evening Activities below to see how we bring everyone together in unforgettable ways.

Team Building Evenings

EAs that focus on bonding and team building often occur at the beginning of each session and include sandcastle building, introductory skits, and free-choice tent activities, where each tent, along with their counselors, engages in an activity of their choice as a group. These EAs help campers feel comfortable with their tentmates and help ease any awkwardness or discomfort during the first few days.

Game Shows/Variety Shows

On these evenings, campers and counselors channel their inner late-night television hosts by putting on performances devised by our Program Directors. These can include trivia shows with broad camper participation or parody performances like the EA known as "TV," where groups of staff and campers collaborate to create 2-3 minute skits that reimagine television shows through the lens of camp life. The result is laughter and constant humor that often creates inside jokes among campers lasting for years.

Self-Expression/Dances

Finally, some of the most impactful EAs for building camper confidence are our self-expression activities. Once every four weeks, we hold an open mic night where campers and staff can perform anything they'd like in front of camp—from singing and dancing to reading prose to showcasing a unique talent. The camp community is incredibly supportive of anyone who chooses to perform during these events. Last but certainly not least are our weekly dances, known across generations of campers as some of the most lively and exciting moments of summer. Counselors DJ a playlist that mixes camp classics with modern hits, and all of camp dances however they want—singing along and jumping in an entirely unchoreographed release, complete with neon lights, disco balls, and a smoke machine.
